The Valley Network Partnership, d.b.a. ValleyNet, is a provider of fiber transport capacity along fiber routes in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. The Valley Network Partnership if operated by Local Exchange Carriers (LECs) whose service territories fall along the route. Those carriers originally joined forces for the purpose of providing traditional TDM circuits to Inter-exchange Long Distance Carriers (DS-1s and DS-3s). ValleyNet also offered mulitplexing and drop and insert capabilities.
Now, the network uses the latest state of the art fiber optic technologies that include DS1, DS3, OC3, OC12, OC48 and OC192 services. ValleyNet provides services to Inter-exchange Carriers (IXCs)POPs, LEC LSOs, wireless cell sites, data centers as well as on-net building locations (please see the ValleyNet Building List on this site for a complete listing of all the locations).
Along with the traditional TDM services, ValleyNet offers Ethernet and Gigwave circuits (50Meg, 100Meg, 1 GigE, 2.5 and 10 Gigwaves).
Dave is responsible for all sales, marketing, administration, and operations for the Partnership. Dave is a 27 year telecom industry veteran and started his career with the Sprint local division in Ohio and Kansas City. While at Sprint, Dave held roles of increasing responsibility in Operations, Network Planning, Sales, and Product Management. Dave joined American Electric Power in Columbus, OH in 1997 and formed a team that built a 2500 route mile fiber network. Dave left AEP when the assets were monetized and joined NTELOS in Waynesboro, VA in 2000 as the Vice President of Sales. During Dave’s 12.5 years at NTELOS he was responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service for the Wholesale and Retail Competitive service provider covering seven states. Dave’s has overseen the successful product launches of ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, Metro-Ethernet, VOIP, and FTTP GPON services in multiple markets. Dave is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH with degrees in Accounting and Finance.
Mealony is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the company. She is the company's point of contact for billing questions and service order processing. Mealony also assists in providing service quotations as needed. Prior to joining ValleyNet in 1995, Mealony was employed as an Office Manager for the UVA Medical Center Physical Plant. Mealony received her associates degree in accounting from Fairmont State College and also attended Blue Ridge Community College and Liberty University.
